Individuals and organizations may register a .IE domain if they can demonstrate a real and substantive connection to the island of Ireland. Applicants must provide supporting information and documentation verifying their identity and Irish connection, such as citizenship, residency, an Irish business registration, or evidence of commercial activity connected with Ireland.
Most applicants only need to provide one document to verify both their identity and their connection to Ireland.
