What information is required for KYC verification?

Mis à jour: 2026/08/31Vu fois: 223

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is used to confirm the identity and contact information of the person or organization associated with a domain.

The exact requirements can vary depending on the domain extension and the registry's requirements. If KYC verification is required for your Contact Record, you will be guided through the information and documents needed to complete the process.

The verification process may include the following:

  1. Email verification
You may be asked to verify the email address associated with the Contact Record.
  2. Phone verification
You may need to verify the phone number associated with the Contact Record using a verification code sent by SMS.
  3. Address verification
You may be asked to provide information or documentation to verify the Contact Record's address.
  4. Identity or company document
Depending on whether the Contact Record represents an individual or an organization, you may need to provide a personal identification document or company documentation.
  5. Verification review
Your submitted information will be processed automatically where possible. In some cases, additional manual review may be required.
  6. Verification result
You will be notified once the verification process has been completed and a result is available.

Why are these documents required?

The information and documents are used to verify that the Contact information is accurate and meets the requirements for the applicable domain extension.

Different registries may have different KYC requirements, so the information or documents requested may vary depending on the domain you are trying to register or manage.

What if my Contact information changes?

If information used for KYC verification is changed, the Contact Record's verification status may be reset. You may then need to complete KYC verification again using the updated information.

You can check the current verification status of your Contact Record by navigating to the "TLD Settings" page in your Dynadot account, followed by the "Contact KYC" page. Select your contact record and click "Submit" to check the status.

You do not need to submit documents unless your Contact Record requires verification.
