How do I display my domains in CamelCase?
Actualizado: 2025/10/31Veces visto: 1392
CamelCase is a formatting style where words in a domain name are joined without spaces, with each word starting with a capital letter (e.g., MyWebsite.com instead of mywebsite.com). We also support other domain text cases, such as All Caps, All Lower, Capitalize, and Decapitalize. To set a default display preference, please follow these steps.
How to Set Camel Case as a Default Display Preference:
How to Manually Set/Edit the CamelCase Text to a Specific Domain:
While you can format how your domain names appear using camel case, please remember that domain names themselves are case-insensitive. This means mywebsite.com, MyWebsite.com, and MYWEBSITE.COM all lead to the exact same website. The Domain Name System (DNS) does not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters.
Notes:
How to Set Camel Case as a Default Display Preference:
- Sign in to your Dynadot account.
- Go to "My Domains" section, and click on "Domain Defaults."
- Click the "Domain Text Case" button.
- Toggle the "Show my domain names using camelcase" option to "Yes".
- From the dropdown menu, select how you want the system to handle your current domains:
- System Not Auto Change, Make Changes Manually
- CamelCase (e.g DynaDot.com)
- All Caps (e.g DYNADOT.COM)
- All Lower Case (e.g dynadot.com)
- Capitalize (e.g Dynadot.com)
- Decapitalize (e.g dynadot.com)
- Click the "Save" button at the top-right corner to confirm your changes.
How to Manually Set/Edit the CamelCase Text to a Specific Domain:
- Sign in to your Dynadot account.
- In the "My Domains" section, click on "Manage Domains."
- Click the "…" (more options) icon next to the domain you wish to format and select "edit camelcase" from the menu.
- Make your edits and save settings. The domain will now appear with your edit formatting in your domain management list.
Notes:
- For domains with random character strings (e.g., gsdfsdfsd.com), the camel case option may not be applied and show the original format. You can edit the domain camelcase text manually.
- IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names) which use non-Latin characters, do not support camel case formatting. Only English (ASCII) domain names can be displayed this way.
- If a domain is listed for sale on the Dynadot marketplace, the display format you set will also be used on its marketplace listing page.
