Trouvez Votre Domaine

This comprehensive guide walks you through every step, from obtaining your authorization code to completing the transfer, plus we'll help you avoid common pitfalls that could delay your transfer. Let's get your domain moved over quickly and securely.
Please ensure the following conditions are met before initiating the transfer:
Your domain cannot be transferred if it has been registered or transferred within the last 60 days.
We recommend starting your domain transfer at least 2 weeks before the domain's expiration date.
Unlock your domain and get your authorization code from your Namecheap account. Here is how:
Sign in to your Namecheap account.
Go to Domain List and click Manage next to the domain you want to transfer out
Go to the Sharing & Transfer tab
In the Transfer Out section, you would be able to unlock the domain as well as get its Auth Code (the code will be sent to the Registrant email address).
Click "Continue with transfer".
Select "Click here" to see Authorization Code
You can copy the code directly from this area. The authorization code will also be sent to your administrative email address associated with your NameCheap account as a backup.
Visit our domain transfer page or our bulk domain transfer page to get started.
Enter the domain(s) you'd like to transfer and the corresponding authorization code(s) you obtained from NameCheap.
Click "Transfer."
You'll see your domain(s) added to your shopping cart in the upper right corner.
Once you're ready, click on the cart to begin the checkout process.
You will receive a confirmation of your order sent to the email address associated with your Dynadot account.
Once the transfer has been authorized, you will receive a domain transfer initiated email from Dynadot. The transfer process typically takes about 6 days.
(Optional) You can expedite the transfer process by manually approving the transfer via the transfer-out notification (Standardized Form Of Authorization) sent from Namecheap, which should be sent to the Domain Registrant email address.
Once the transfer is approved, the domain will be moved to your Dynadot account soon. You will receive a domain transfer complete as well as an order finished email from us.
While domain transfers from Namecheap to Dynadot are generally smooth, certain issues can cause delays or failures. Understanding these common obstacles beforehand helps you avoid frustration and ensures a successful transfer.
Most transfer problems are easily preventable with proper preparation, and even if you encounter issues, they're typically resolved quickly. Here are the most frequent domain transfer challenges and their solutions:
60-Day Transfer Lock: Your domain cannot be transferred if it was registered or transferred within the last 60 days due to ICANN regulations. You'll need to wait until this period expires.
Domain Lock Status: If your domain is locked at Namecheap, the transfer will fail. Always unlock your domain before initiating the transfer process. Incorrect
Authorization Code: Auth codes are case-sensitive and expire. If your transfer fails, request a fresh authorization code from Namecheap and try again.
Expiring Domain Issues: Domains close to expiration (within 7-14 days) may face transfer complications. Consider renewing with Namecheap first, then transferring, or contact our support team for guidance.
Outdated Contact Information: Ensure your registrant email address is current at Namecheap, as you'll need to confirm the transfer via email notifications sent to this address.
