Changed Name Server Settings but it now displays your homepage?
9/15/2006 08:44
I have changed my name servers to those where my hosting is looked after, I have checked on my account and on the whois look up and they all show my new name server settings.

However your holding page shows and not my website?

Why is this?

You may wish to do an IP lookup to check if the name server settings for your domain have propagated.  To access the IP lookup tool in your account, please follow the steps in our FAQ:

How do I access the IP lookup tool?
http://www.dynadot.com/help/question.html?aid=48

For information on how to interpret the results you receive from an IP lookup, please read this post in our FAQ:

What is an IP lookup?

If your name server settings have been propagated, then you may be experiencing a caching problem.  To clear your cache, please read our post in our FAQ which lists several ways of working around this problem:

Why is my website offline?

If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

I have tried all of these methods, it seems that they are all in place correctly, it seems to directing to your domain name parking page. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks for your previous quick response.

It seems odd that your domain is still being directed to our parking page if it has been set to different name server settings.  Could you send us an email briefly explaining the situation and telling us which domain is having this problem?  (Unless you don't mind posting your domain name here.)

It looks like we may need to examine the domain's settings to see what is causing the problem here.

Im getting the exact same thing. Just changed my name servers, ip lookup shows everything as fine, pointing to correct ip address, but my domain name points to dynadot's homepage, and pinging my domain gives me dynadot's ip. Been like this for 6 hours now.

Edit: Ive just accessed my site again, and it is now working.
